9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Norfolk Fire-Rescue and Norfolk Fire Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. 

When: September 14th, 2024 

• Check-in: 0800
• Opening ceremonies: 0830
• Event start time: 0900

What: Climb the equivalent of 110 stories in the Norfolk Scope. Wear any gear or workout vest you find appropriate! 

Who: EVERYONE! We want to share this experience with other first responders and our communities. This is a great opportunity for those looking to join a fire department or a police department to make contact with our local heroes. 

Why: To remember the tragedy of September 11th, 2001. The loss of innocent lives as well as those who ran in to help save just one more life. There are still first responders battling cancers and illnesses from that day that are not covered by insurance. Our goal is to raise money to split 50/50 with Norfolk Fire Foundation and the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation (NFFF) to help facilitate the needs of families of fallen firefighters.

How to participate: Register to help raise money. There will be an event shirt that comes with registration. If you don't want to participate the best way to donate is to buy a shirt!
