Retired US Women’s National Team Player, Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist, Two-Time World Cup Bronze Medalist, President of Women’s Soccer for the Houston Dash

A Virginia Beach native, Angela Hucles Mangano will share her journey from local soccer fields to the global stage. Angela graduated from Norfolk Academy in 1996 as its all-time leading scorer with 204 goals and 106 assists. At the University of Virginia, Angela tallied 59 goals (19 game-winners!) and remains their career women’s leader in goals, game-winning goals, and total points. She was a member of the USA's Gold Medal-winning team for the 2004 Summer Olympics and she played a crucial role for the USA's Gold Medal-winning team in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Angela retired from club and international soccer in October 2009.

WIth over 35 years of experience in the sports industry, Angela’s passion is helping others achieve their goals and dreams. She will present her insights on the power of sport and its impact on personal growth and development, and how to reimagine leadership in today’s workforce to put yourself and your company in the winning lane.

Angela is a Past President of the Women’s Sports Foundation, founded by Billie Jean King, and was a soccer analyst for FOX, ESPN, and NBC during the Women’s World Cups, Olympic games, and ACC / SEC women’s and men’s college soccer.

Angela received a B.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of Virginia’s College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in 2000 and attended Norfolk Academy for 11 years graduating in the class of 1996.
