Generic Theater

Due to inclement weather, and for the safety of patrons, cast and crew, Friday's performance of Flyin' West is cancelled.


If you purchased a ticket for Friday's performance, the Generic Theatre will gladly transfer your ticket to another performance of Flyin' West. You may also message the Generic Theatre at contact@generictheater.org and let them know which of the remaining performances works best for you.

Set in 1898, this play follows four black women as they lay claim to land in Nicodemus, an all-black Kansas town. The play is a powerful commentary on sisterhood, identity and race and is based on fact: in the late 19th century, many African Americans left the South to settle out West.
